Frequently Asked Questions

A. There are several reasons organizations turn to executive coaching for their people:

To develop employees with high potential.

To increase the likelihood that an executive will be successful in a new role.

To improve deficiencies and current job performance.

A. Everyone’s strengths and needs are different, and no two people follow an identical path. Most coaching programs, however, include some common themes:

Interpersonal skills

Team management

Presentation skills

Written communication

Personal presence

Time management

Strategic thinking

Work-life balance

A. Coaching works when the executive commits to the process. Executive coaching can be life-changing if you have developmental goals, a desire to change, and are willing to do the work. On the other hand, if you simply want to be somewhere other than where you are without making the investment, this process may not deliver what you expect.

A. Coaching can be fun, but it can also be uncomfortable. During our time together, your coach may ask hard questions to help you stretch and grow. If you only want to focus on what you do well, our program is not for you.

A. For this process to work, trust must exist.

Before we enter into a coaching agreement, we schedule what we refer to as a fit discussion. This is your opportunity to interview a potential coach or multiple coaches. If you are not comfortable for whatever reason, you may choose someone else.
