Course Outcomes

This emotional intelligence training course will:

  • Outline the advantages of developing emotional intelligence.
  • Provide participants with an EQ assessment and help them interpret their scores.
  • Offer concrete tools and techniques for improving their emotional intelligence.

Course Overview

While technical skills are important, without emotional intelligence, most people don’t perform as well as they could. This four-hour course explores the ins and outs of emotional intelligence. Participants will learn what it is and how they can use it at work and home to improve relationships, build trust, and adapt.  The workshop uses “Emotional Intelligence 2.0*” by Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves as pre-work and reference tool.

* The book retails for about $20 per copy and is not included in the course facilitation fee. Participants should obtain a copy, read it, and complete the assessment before attending the first session. If needed, we can coordinate the purchase and include it in the invoice. Note: Because the book includes a one-time assessment code, we recommend avoiding used copies.
