Course Overview

Innovation requires a combination of creativity, empathy, and structured problem-solving to address complex challenges and drive impactful outcomes. This one-day workshop immerses participants in techniques to help them collaborate, innovate, and strategically target opportunities with high potential. The program explores tools for each stage of the innovation process, from finding areas for meaningful innovation to refining and scaling solutions.

Participants begin with an innovation styles assessment to identify their approaches to creativity, such as visionary, spotter, conceptualizer, and collaborator. This assessment helps teams recognize and leverage diverse strengths to boost collaborative problem-solving and innovation.

The workshop then addresses various levels of innovation, helping participants distinguish between incremental improvements and transformative changes. From there, they’ll explore divergent thinking techniques like brainstorming and mind mapping to uncover a wide range of possibilities. Empathy-driven tools such as persona profiles and customer journey mapping are introduced to anchor ideas in real-world needs, while reframing methods like the five whys and problem statement refinement are used to reveal hidden opportunities.

Through tools like assumption testing and Six Thinking Hats, participants will evaluate ideas to ensure they’re grounded and viable. Rapid prototyping methods, including storyboarding, allow participants to gather immediate feedback, while testing and iteration tools help refine ideas. The course concludes with strategies for effectively scaling solutions, securing buy-in, and implementing ideas for long-term impact.

The following outline highlights some of the course’s key learning points. As part of your training program, we will modify content as needed to meet your business objectives. Upon request, we will provide you with a copy of the participant materials prior to the session(s).
