SHORT PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
If you can’t communicate clearly and interact well with others, you’re going to have a hard time in the workplace. It’s that simple. This introductory communication skills course explores best practices in interpersonal communication and offers tips for succeeding in a collaborative environment. The program covers such topics as understanding the communication process, communicating in meetings, working remotely, and making good use of organizational resources when participating in and documenting group discussions.
A professional network is a valuable asset. This course addresses the skills needed to assess a current network, set networking goals, and craft a plan to grow a network. The program also addresses basic dos and don’ts, proven best practices, and tools to facilitate the networking process.
Personal brand management requires work. Left to chance, the image someone projects may not align with what he or she wants to have the world think. This course introduces the fundamentals of personal branding and offers best practices for defining a desired image and using online and offline tools to communicate that brand.
Project managers who have a high level of emotional intelligence are often more successful than those who don’t. Why? Projects are more than data, facts, and charts. Projects involve people, and project managers must manage relationships with peers, subordinates, sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, and others who contribute to a project’s successful completion. This program addresses emotional intelligence through a project lens. However, people who do not directly manage projects can also benefit from this course.
Based on our onsite training course, this program covers the essential communication skills needed to be a successful administrative assistant. The course takes approximately one hour to complete.
