Course Overview

Effective technical presentations require much more than data and expertise; they demand the ability to engage different audiences and communicate complex information in an accessible and persuasive way. This one-day workshop helps participants transform their technical knowledge into impactful presentations that resonate with any audience.

The first half of the course focuses on presentation design. Participants will explore audience analysis through the SEATS model, learning to adjust content to meet the needs of various groups, from internal stakeholders to external clients. Techniques for organizing key messages, prioritizing essential information, and using data to tell a compelling story are emphasized, along with methods for creating clear, supportive visuals.

The second half of the workshop hones in on delivery, covering skills to maintain audience engagement through vocal variety, pacing, and body language. Participants will also practice managing interactions during presentations, including strategies for responding to questions confidently and handling challenging audience dynamics. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to deliver technical presentations that are informative, engaging, and customized to their audience.
