Virtual Management Skills Course
Course Highlights
This virtual training course for managing for engagement will:
- Outline six fundamental management principles that drive employee engagement.
- Discuss how a manager’s choices directly affect employee engagement.
- Share best practices for delegating, coaching, and holding people accountable.
- Suggest ideas for making time for one-on-one meetings and other management activities.
Course Overview
People who lead engaged workforces understand the benefits an initiative-taking staff can bring to their organizations. Employee turnover decreases, customer satisfaction increases, profitability improves, and incidents like theft, workplace injuries, and absenteeism decline. Additionally, employees who feel engaged at work experience greater job satisfaction compared to those who are disengaged or simply going through the motions.
This two-part virtual program addresses the essential skills managers need to foster employee engagement. The course builds on six core management principles: balancing people, process, and product; showing appreciation; asking the right questions; reducing ambiguity; setting performance targets; and communicating clearly, concisely, and with an appropriate amount of compassion. Each segment lasts approximately two hours. The program can be delivered in one day with a break between segments or across consecutive or nonconsecutive days.
