Course Overview
Effective leadership is about more than just a title—it requires trust, influence, and communication skills that inspire people to follow. “Follow Me: Leading and Communicating with Influence” is designed to help current and aspiring leaders build these critical skills. Throughout the course, participants will explore leadership myths, distinguish between managing and leading, and focus on building the personal attributes required for leadership success.
In the first segment, the course dives deep into eight core building blocks of leadership, helping participants to recognize and develop these traits within themselves and others. These blocks include attributes such as confidence, competence, and self-knowledge, alongside adaptability and relationship building.
Segment two emphasizes communication. Participants will learn the importance of assertive communication and how to avoid passive or aggressive tones. They will develop tools to position messages more effectively, increase credibility, and eliminate the use of blunt language or trigger words. This part of the course also highlights the impact of nonverbal communication on leadership.
The final segment focuses on practical leadership challenges, including delegation and coaching. Participants will explore the benefits of delegation and coaching while addressing common barriers to their success. They will also practice the delicate art of diplomatically declining tasks or redirecting others when necessary.
