Fee Schedule FAQ

From time to time people ask us questions about how we set our fees.  The following is a short list of frequently asked questions and their answers.

Why does it cost more for two half days on the same day with different participants than it costs to have one full day with the same participants?

The answer to this question has two parts: first, you are running two separate sessions and training a larger group of people, and second we are providing materials for a larger number of people.

Another company offered to do the same kind of work for half of what you charge.  Why is this?

While we can't comment on why others charge less or charge more, we can tell you that for people who have been at this for decades, the fees we pay to our facilitators are competitive with other top firms.  Furthermore, our prices are generally lower.  Also, please remember our fees include travel, materials, and expenses.

Why am I paying you as much as $1,000 an hour?

Actually, you're not.  We do not bill you for phone calls, to prepare for our session with you, etc.  On a cost-per-participant basis, our fees are usually less than what you would pay to attend a public seminar.

Can you work with me on pricing?

We believe that our fees are fair and reasonable.  From time to time we make some accommodations to help you achieve your financial objective.  However, just as you can't buy a Mercedes for the cost of a Yugo, we don't give deep discounts or throw out fees just to see if you will pay them.  If you are interested in duplicating materials yourself, we can reduce our fee by $10 per participant.

I still can't afford you, but I want your class.  What can you do for me?

If you have someone you believe can effectively facilitate, you can order our course materials from Amazon.com.  The participant guides sell for about $25 to just under $50.
